Our central warehouses in the Czech Republic, Switzerland, the United States, China and South Korea guarantee fast delivery times and short distances for the supply of spare parts. The service teams at these locations ensure first level support and can be reached via the hotline at any time.

After a PLATIT coating unit is sold, the information is entered into an online service database, and the access data is sent to the customer. In online service database, customers will find information on spare parts, drawings, service history, service status of their machine and contact data of their technical advisor to enable targeted problem solving.

Over the lifetime of a PLATIT PVD coating unit we offer the following service products

  • Standard and customer specific training programs on request at customers’ site or at PLATIT

Premium Plus Package

We offer our customers a Premium Plus Package with the aim of increasing the OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency)

During the duration of the contract this includes

  • Execution of preventive maintenance services according to a predetermined schedule
  • Daily support via hotline and internet

The Premium Plus Package guarantees maximum uptime of the coating system, reduced maintenance costs and improved performance with constant coating quality.

Cathode exchange

The cathode exchange is made very easy for our customers. To avoid storage costs for you, we take care of the transport of the new cathodes and environmentally friendly recycling of the used target material. We guarantee the exchange and quality of the target as well as inform customers how the cathode exchange can be done quickly.

Reporting

Customer reports the need for cathode exchange

PLATIT sends the new cathode to the customer within 24 hours

Return

After receiving the new cathode, customer returns the old one

Receipt

Receipt of the old, used cathode at PLATIT

Disassembly

Disassembling of the cathode, recycling of the target

Replacement

Replacement of all wearing parts to bring the cathode up to date

7

Installation

Checking of the mechanical functions, adjusting the magnetic field, and installation of the new target

8

Examination

After a long-term vacuum testing, the cathode is examined under industrial production conditions.

The cathode is reused only when optimum burn-in can be guaranteed.
